In the left - turned Trishiraa, the seal depicts a Trident mounted on a staff. In right - turned Trishiraa, the seal depicts a triangle or a cup like thing mounted on a staff. In both cases, these combinations of symbols form the word Atri. Word Atri has got importance in Indus script and it is necessary to understand it fully. There will be two types of Atris. Number 7 is attached both with Trishiraa and Atri. In case of Atri, this 7 will be symbolic of 7 cereals. When the gross body is considered as a tree, it's presiding soul has been considered as a two - horned man, or in the form of two joint one - horned animals.
There may be three types of animals - belonging to (inner) voice, mind and life force. Accordingly, the number of horns will be two, one and 0 .
Thus, a two - horned animal will be symbolic of a person whose fires at mental and praana levels have become covered with demonical forces(Vritra). On the other hand, one - horned animal will be symbolic of a person whose fire at praana level remains covered by Vritra. Hornless animal is symbolic of a person in whom not a single fire at any level remains covered by Vritra. The joint one - horned heads can also be explained as if it is a combination of ana(life forces) and anna(food), the body and soul.
